Ceramic Bar
The X90 single coil has a flat and wide bobbin and is wound to a DCR of 8K to produce the classic vintage tone that preceded the introduction of the humbucker in 1957. The nickel pole pieces are adjustable and the cream cover completes the vintage look and feel of these pickups. String pitch at the neck position is 48mm and bridge 50mm. The X90 is available in two versions. They are; using ceramic bar magnetics and alnico bar magnetics. The differences are subtle with this, the ceramic, having a little more “brightness” when compared to the alnico. The alnico provides a more complex “vintage” tone.
