Neodymium Bar
The XS62 is a single coil with a difference. It has six hard nickel pole pieces with a slightly over wound coil on a stressed field ceramic magnet base. For a single coil, this pickup exudes power, but without sacrificing any of the tonal qualities that we love about single coils. The middle pickup is reverse wound so that hum is cancelled when used in combination with either the neck or bridge pickups.

His CV includes heading up Hohner’s UK based Custom Shop where he designed models including the JT60, Blond, Black Widow and Revelation. More recently, he has designed guitars for Alden and Tanglewood and his electronic circuit wizardry is being incorporated into selected Burns models.
