CDD Marine Information
CDD-MAR has been engineered for marine environments such as cruise ships and saltwater locations and meets the requirements of IEC 529 to an IP54 level. UV tested to BS EN ISO 4892 – 2: 2013 method A – cycle B, accelerated 1600-hour UV test.
Cabinets
• Cabinet construction consists of an injection moulded back shell, which is fabricated from a durable polypropylene cellulose reinforced composite material. Then finished with a UV stabilised Plastilack paint.
• Front baffle and cabinet bracing and are fabricated from birch plywood and finished with a tough Polyurethane paint with UV resistant topcoat.
• Baffles are fixed to the cabinet with a 2-part 3M adhesive and A4 stainless screws.
• Internal cabinet braces are fixed using 2-part 3M adhesive.
Fixings
• External fixings are A4 marine grade stainless steel.
• Internal brackets are 316L stainless steel with A4 stainless steel captive nuts.
Grille
• The grille assembly is a UV resistant, 1.5mm 316L stainless steel sheet, backed with fine polyester cloth and finished with a nylon reinforced polyester powder coat. A layer of Declon, and a secondary (316L stainless) grille with a hydrophobic Saati mesh.
Speaker Components
• Loudspeaker cone surfaces are coated with a water proofing treatment.
Speaker Cabling
• A captive 3m, 4 core 2.5mm speaker cable sealed with a cable gland and fitted to a 316L stainless plate on the rear of the cabinet.

WB10/12W-MAR Marine grade wall bracket for CDD 10/12 - white
The CDD10-WR is a weatherised very compact two way passive loudspeaker system suitable for outdoor applications where it will be subject to changing environmental conditions, but sheltered from direct exposure to the elements. It utilises a 10” (250mm) LF/1” (25mm) exit HF Coaxial Differential Dispersion driver and features a water and particle resistant grille made from zinc plated mild steel with powder coated finish and is suitable for operating temperatures between -20°C to +70°C and environmentally tested to meet IP54.
The Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology employed in the CDD10-WR delivers more consistent audience coverage than systems with fixed X° x Y° coverage patterns projecting relatively more output to the rear of the audience, while having wide horizontal coverage closeup. Its innovative CDD driver achieves ‘point source’ summation of the LF and HF sections eliminating off axis variations in frequency response associated with noncoaxial designs. Improving on conventional coaxial designs, which can suffer from high frequency beaming, the driver features a static waveguide that merges seamlessly with the unique cone shape maintaining the dispersion pattern out to very high frequencies.
The visually distinctive composite enclosure can be used in either horizontal (landscape) or vertical (portrait) orientation, with rotation of the driver easily accomplished by removing the screw free, protective grille. The curved shape of the CDD10-WR allows it to be surface mounted close to a wall via an optional wall bracket or suspended from a ceiling by eyebolts or a horizontal yoke option A full suite of weatherised accessories are available and fixings on the loudspeaker are stainless steel.
A full range, passive two way system, the CDD10-WR may be used without a controller. However, the EQ and limiter functions of a controller such as the Martin Audio DX0.5, DX1.5 or DX2, or an MA Series amplifier with onboard DSP will maximise its capabilities. When used with a CSX subwoofer, crossover and EQ functions can either be performed by the DX0.5, DX1.5 and DX2 system controllers, or by an MA Series amplifier with onboard DSP option
